　　2015年5月辽宁新民经济开发区管委会和沈阳胡台新城管委会整合为辽宁新民经济开发区（沈阳胡台新城）管委会，分辽宁新民经济开发区和胡台新城两个片区管理。到2030年规划面积44.6平方公里，新民经济开发区片区规划面积20.93平方公里，建成区面积5.1平方公里；胡台新城片区规划面积23.67平方公里，建成区面积11.5平方公里。辽宁新民经济开发区（沈阳胡台新城）按照“一主一特”产业发展定位。“一主”是医药健康，“一特”是造纸包印。2018年把装备制造配套作为开发区的新型产业。目前已经形成医药健康和造纸包印两大产业集群。 

　　In May 2015, the management committee of Liaoning Xinmin Economic Development Zone and the management committee of Shenyang Hutai New City were integrated into the management committee of Liaoning Xinmin Economic Development Zone (Shenyang Hutai New City), which was divided into two areas for management of Liaoning Xinmin Economic Development Zone and Hutai New City. By 2030, the planned area is 44.6 square kilometers, the planned area of Xinmin Economic Development Zone is 20.93 square kilometers, and the built-up area is 5.1 square kilometers. The planned area of Hutai New Town is 23.67 square kilometers, and the built-up area is 11.5 square kilometers. Liaoning Xinmin Economic Development Zone (Shenyang Hutai New City) is positioned as the "one main industry and one special industry". "One master" is medicine and health, "one special" is paper printing package. In 2018, equipment manufacturing became a new industry in the development zone. At present, it has formed two industrial clusters ,one is medicine and health and the other is paper packaging and printing.

　　主导产业以生物医药及高性能医疗器械、造纸包印为主导，同时发展食品、汽车零部件产业。
