　　2.开发区简介

　　丹东边境经济合作区于1992年经国务院批准成立，依托政策优势、体制优势和区位优势，紧紧抓住东北振兴和辽宁沿海经济带国家发展战略机遇，以城市建设和产业发展为主线，在94.33平方公里土地上，建成15平方公里的工业产业集聚区，开发29平方公里的城市拓展区，打造了一条40多公里长的沿江、沿海、沿边开发开放带，成为东北东部经济发展新高地和对外开放新门户。 

　　2.Brief Introduction of Development Zone 

　　Dandong Border Economic Cooperation Zone was established with the approval of the State Council in 1992,relying on its advantages in policies, institutions , and location, Dandong Border Economic Cooperation Zone seizes China’s developmental strategic opportunites of the revitalization of the Northeast Region and Liaoning Coastal Economic Belt, and sticks to urban construction and industrial development as overarching guidelines. On the land of 94.33 square kilometers, the Zone has built up an industrial cluster area of 15 square kilometers, an urban expansion area of 29 square kilometers, and a developmental and open belt of 40-plus kilometers long along the river, coast, and border, becoming a new highland for economic developent and a new gateway to the outside world in the east area of Northeast China.
