On April 16th, 2021, Department of Commerce of Liaoning Province held South Korea-Liaoning Province Economic and Trade Cooperation Symposium in Liaoning Mansion, Shenyang, to further promote the economic and trade cooperation between Liaoning Province and South Korea, accelerate the construction of a digital Liaoning with highly intellectual manufacturing industries, try to achieve the “three great objectives”, and to further develop the cooperative potentials of Liaoning Province with South Korea.
During the symposium, Song Yanlin, Director-General of Department of Commerce of Liaoning Province extended appreciation to South Korean enterprises for their contributions to the economic development of Liaoning Province, introduced the overall situation of economic development of Liaoning Province in 2020, as well as the key measures and developing orientation of Liaoning Province in the fields of optimizing business environment, building a digital Liaoning with highly intellectual manufacturing industries, and trying to achieve the “three great objectives”, and exchanged suggestions with the present entrepreneurs on the topics of “the Belt and the Road” strategy, China (Liaoning) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the construction of Shenfu Reform and Innovation Demonstration Zone, etc. Representatives of Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shenyang, as well as the relevant South Korean enterprises and organizations, expressed their opinions, offering advices and suggestions on deepening the cooperation between South Korea and Liaoning Province. All enterprise representatives said that they would positively participate in the cause of developing building a digital Liaoning with highly intellectual manufacturing industries, and trying to achieve the “three great objectives”, to realize the win-win situation.
With remarkable achievements, the symposium has built a platform of communication and exchange between Liaoning Province and South Korean enterprises. The provincial-level leadership has acknowledged the advices and suggestions of these enterprises on the commercial work of Liaoning Province, and South Korean enterprises have better learned about the current economic development situation of Liaoning Province. The symposium has also increased the confidence of South Korean enterprises in promoting the relevant cooperation and furthering their investment in Liaoning, laying firm foundation for the acceleration of deeper cooperation between Liaoning Province and South Korea. Zhang Weidong, Deputy Director of Department of Commerce of Liaoning Province, hosted the symposium. Chi Xinming, Level-II Inspector and Director of Investment Liaison Office, and the relevant responsible persons of divisions of comprehensive affairs, investment promotion and foreign investment, etc., also attended the symposium.
