Chen Luping, Vice Governor of Liaoning Province, delivered a speech

Since the beginning of 2018, authorities of Liaoning Province have been actively expanding the scope of communication and cooperation with local governments of the countries in Central and Eastern Europe, considering it as one of the key parts in the process of all-round opening-up and Liaoning's participation in the initiative of "the Belt and the Road". Recently, Liaoning Province has formally become the chairman province of the Chinese side of the 5^th Joint Conference of Governors of China and CEE Countries. Under this background, this symposium has won the attention of all relevant countries participating in the activities of CIIE. Over 60 diplomatic envoys of embassies in China from CEE countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Lithuania and Serbia, etc., as well as officials from relevant national-level departments and representatives of entrepreneurs attend the symposium. More than 280 representatives from Liaoning Province attended this symposium, and they are the leaders from the Department of Commerce and the State-owned Asset Supervision and Administration Commission of Liaoning Province, responsible leadership from all relevant local authorities in the province, and entrepreneurs from state-owned enterprises and Liaoning delegations attending the CIIE activities. Both parties have held large publicity and promotion activities, as well as economic and trade negotiations on the joint construction of "the Belt and the Road" projects, demonstration zones of "16+1" economic and trade cooperation, further expansion of trading scales, and the promotion of the construction of Liaoning FTA and Shenfu New Area, etc. Later entrepreneurs from both parties have conducted further communications to introduce each others' products and company situations, laying firm foundation for future cooperation.
