On the morning of January 21, 2025, Li Jun, Deputy Director-general of Liaoning Department of Commerce, met with the delegation led by Matsui Manabu, Chairman of ITOCHU (CHINA) Holding Co., Ltd. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on further expanding economic and trade cooperation between Liaoning and Japan’s ITOCHU Corporation.

  During the meeting, Chairman Matsui introduced ITOCHU Corporation and its business operations in Liaoning. Particularly, he specified the cooperation between ITOCHU Corporation and Liaoning in areas such as investment promotion and foreign trade. Chairman Matsui pointed out that Liaoning boasts a vast market with development potentials driven by strong consumption demands. He expressed his hope to deepen continued communication and cooperation with the Department of Commerce of Liaoning Province.

  Li Jun, Deputy Director-general of Liaoning Department of Commerce, welcomed Chairman Matsui's visit to Liaoning and expressed his gratitude for the strong support ITOCHU Corporation has given to the Department of Commerce of Liaoning Province over the years. Li Jun pointed out that the implementation of the relaxed and optimized visa-free transit policy for foreigners can further deepen the mutual exchanges and understanding between the people of the two countries, as well as the exchanges and cooperation between Liaoning and Japan. He stated that Liaoning Department of Commerce will continue to carry out more activities of policy briefing and business promotion to provide more opportunities for the development of ITOCHU Corporation in Liaoning. Meanwhile, the Department will continuously offer more high-quality and efficient services to all foreign-invested enterprises, including ITOCHU Corporation. It is hoped that ITOCHU Corporation will remain its firm confidence in investing and starting businesses in Liaoning, and step up efforts to strengthen traditional trade and expand new trade models. Both sides will achieve more practical results.

  The officials from the Japan and South Korea Investment Promotion Office of Liaoning Department of Commerce attended the meeting.
