On January 22, 2025, Shan Yi, Vice Governor of Liaoning Province, met with the delegation led by Liu Ling, Executive Vice President and Chief Region Leader of Koninklijke Philips N.V. in Greater China. The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on further promoting a deeper cooperation between Philips and Liaoning.

  Vice Governor Shan Yi extended a warm welcome to the visit of Executive Vice President Liu Ling, and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Philips for its long-term attention and support for the revitalization and development of Liaoning. Vice Governor Shan Yi pointed out that in 2024 Liaoning thoroughly studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and spirits of instructions on advancing the revitalization of Northeast China and Liaoning in all aspects. Liaoning aimed at the positioning of the "Six Highlands" in the new era, deeply implemented the Three-Year Action Plan for New Breakthroughs and Revitalization in all aspects, concentrated efforts on carrying out the "Eight Major Tackling Daunting Tasks", accelerated the cultivation of new drivers of growth, and steadily promoted high-quality developments. All work has shown a favorable momentum unseen for years. The growth rates of key economic indicators, such as regional GDP, fixed-asset investment and total retail sales of consumer goods have outperformed the national average level. These achievements cannot do without the strong support given by foreign-invested enterprises in Liaoning, including Philips. Currently, Liaoning is building a "Healthy Liaoning" in a comprehensive manner, and steadily improving medical and health services. It is underlined in the Government Work Report of Liaoning Province that to promote health for all citizens in Liaoning is prioritized as a key task in 2025. Vice Governor Shan Yi stated that Liaoning will focus on creating a first-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized, continuously improve services for foreign-invested enterprises, focus on enterprises' concerns, effectively enhance their satisfaction and sense of gain, and strengthen their confidence in investing and developing in Liaoning. It is hoped that Philips can give full play to technological advantages of all products, further deepen cooperation with Liaoning in the medical and health field, and make greater contributions to providing more high-quality and efficient medical services for all citizens in Liaoning.

  Executive Vice President Liu Ling expressed her gratitude to Vice Governor Shan Yi for his warm reception. She stated that Philips is highly confident in its development in Liaoning. Over the years, the sole global R&D center of Philips Healthcare's products for basic-type CT and mid-to-high-end advanced CT has been well operating in Liaoning and has achieved fruitful research results. Liu Ling expressed her hope that Philips could align more cooperation with local enterprises and scientific research institutions, and attract more foreign-invested enterprises to visit, invest in, and start businesses in Liaoning. So Philips will make greater contributions to accelerating the construction of the Liaoning's industrial cluster of advanced medical equipment.
