On the morning of December 30, 2024, Pan Shuang, Director-general of Liaoning Department of Commerce, had a meeting with Liu Alei, President of China Region of Metito Group from the UAE. The two sides held an in-depth discussion on exploring opportunities to further expand the scope of cooperation.

  In July, 2024, with the support and facilitation of the main leaders in Liaoning, Metito Group from the UAE signed an agreement with Dalian to set up its headquarters of China Region in Liaoning. In this regard, Director-general Pan Shuang extended her congratulations and expressed her gratitude to Metito Group for choosing Liaoning for its investment and development. 

  President Liu Alei stated that Metito Group hopes to expand the scope of cooperation with Liaoning and diversify cooperation pathways. In addition to leveraging its professional edges in seawater desalination and wastewater treatment, Metito intends to utilize its own capital advantages to expand its investment and cooperation to sectors such as chemicals, energy, pharmaceuticals, water resources, and recycled resources. 

  Director-general Pan Shuang agreed with the above intentions and hoped that Metito Group will take the establishment of its headquarters as an opportunity to prioritize Liaoning as a key region in its global industrial layout and further expand the scale and scope of its investment in Liaoning. The Department of Commerce of Liaoning Province will quickly sort out relevant project information and assist Metito Group in project matchmaking, inspections and negotiations. At the same time, the Department will continue to improve the business environment and fully support the development of Metito Group in Liaoning with high-quality and efficient services. 

  Li Jun, Deputy Director-general of Liaoning Department of Commerce and officials from the Foreign Investment Management Office of Liaoning Department of Commerce attended the meeting.
