  Established in 1940, Fuxin covers an expansive area of 10,355 square kilometers and is home to a population of 1.64 million residents. Its administrative jurisdiction includes two counties, five districts, one national-level high-tech development zone, and six provincial-level development zones.

  Fuxin enjoys a strategically advantageous location in the northwest of Liaoning Province , positioned as a vital hub in Northeast China and the Bohai Rim regions. It holds a central role within the western Liaoning-eastern Inner Mongolia region. The city stands at the intersection of the pioneering district for the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the Shenyang Modern Metropolitan Circle.
