On September 2nd, the Department of Commerce of Liaoning Province, in collaboration with the Dalian Representative Office of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), jointly hosted the 2024 Liaoning Promotion Conference (Shenyang) of Investment in Japan. This significant event aimed to facilitate enterprises in Liaoning Province to vigorously expand overseas markets and bolster the investment cooperation between Liaoning Province and Japan. Jun Shigeoka, Director General of JETRO Dalian Office, and Wang Yuping, Deputy Director-general of Liaoning Department of Commerce, attended the event and delivered speeches.

  During the conference, JETRO Dalian Office elaborated on the overview of Japan's economy and the administrative services offered by Japanese government for introducing foreign enterprises. The Dalian-Kanagawa Economic and Trade Office introduced Kanagawa's investment environment and opportunities. The Osaka Shanghai Office introduced Osaka's investment and cooperation opportunities. As a representative enterprise of Liaoning Province that had successfully invested in Japan, Shenyang SIASUN Robot & Automation Co., Ltd. shared its investment experience in Japan. During the matchmaking session, all the participants had in-depth and extensive exchanges, reached a broad consensus, and secured influential results.

  Wang Yuping, Deputy Director-general of Liaoning Department of Commerce, indicated the following key points. Liaoning is one of China’s provinces closest to Japan geographically. The two sides have a solid foundation for cooperation as well as profound people-to-people and cultural exchanges. For a long time, Liaoning has been at the forefront of China's cooperation and exchanges with Japan. We hoped this promotion conference can further strengthen the communication and cooperation between the two sides. We also hoped to continuously tap into new growth areas in the economic and trade cooperation between Liaoning Province and Japan. In the future, we would further carry out the economic and trade cooperation memorandum signed with JETRO Dalian Office. And we would set up a more regular communication and cooperation mechanism. We hoped that JETRO could strongly support the enterprises in Liaoning Province that were willing and eligible to invest and cooperate in Japan.

  This promotion conference deepened the mutual understanding and trust. It also explored the economic and trade cooperation opportunities between Liaoning Province and Japan. This conference laid a solid foundation for further in-depth cooperation. The Department of Commerce of Liaoning Province will continuously encourage and support Liaoning enterprises to explore the Japanese market and enhance mutual exchanges and cooperation. Besides, the Department of Commerce will provide more efficient services of higher quality to help achieve more fruitful results in the economic and trade exchanges between the two sides.

  Over 30 enterprise representatives and people in charge from the commerce bureaus of different cities in Liaoning participated in the conference.
